New Text Options (10.0)

OpenType Functions
With the OpenType functions you achieve even better typographic results. While InDesign only supports 20, VivaDesigner supports more than 140 OpenType functions.

Duden
Duden has further improved hyphenation and spelling and grammar correction. VivaDesigner includes the very latest version of Duden 2019.

Preview Quality (9.5)

Layout programs normally display a preview of the imported image in 72 DPI. When using vector images (illustrations) and/or you zoom in, you won´t see to many details (ie. small font sizes). In the new version you can define the quality of the preview by default in the preferences or for every individual image.

Change Tracking

With change tracking you can establish who has made which changes in a document. The program creates a report with the exact time and which text was inserted, deleted or newly formatted by whom. Change tracking is therefore suited for users who work in a team, or for users who only want to create a report protocol of their work.

New layer functions

Duplicate layers with optional content takeover and automatic application of a language. In translation, for example, this option saves you the deletion of content in one language variation as well as the assignment of the new target language for every single text object in the document. Furthermore, in combination with the “Team Publishing” module, all objects on a layer may be applied to an assignment with a single keystroke.

Convert Text to Paths

You can convert text outlines to object paths and edit these paths. At the same time, holes in letters are retained. These new objects can also contain text or images.

Pathfinder

Several objects can be combined to one object with the Pathfinder. Thus you can create compound paths in a simple way. With this function, you can also create transparent holes in objects.

Clipping (Automatic)

Normally the borders of an image can only be displayed transparent if an Alpha channel or a clipping path exists. VivaDesigner 8 can display images with white or uni-colored borders as transparent automatically (clipping), so that you often save yourself this time-consuming work.
