Import images in the native JPEG2000 format. These images are much smaller than the usual JPG images and also have a better quality, as JPEG2000 images are saved loss-free.

Native PDF Import (PDF to Layout) (10.0)
Of course you can place a PDF in a picture object in VivaDesigner 10. But with the new, unique, native PDF import, you can create a layout document from any PDF that you can edit at will. This allows you to import documents quickly and easily from layout and illustration programs such as Freehand, PageMaker, QuarkXPress, Corel, Illustrator, FrameMaker or Office programs such as Word, Excel or PowerPoint. 09: Improved path options
With the improved path tool you already create line and curve segments while drawing. Paths may also be closed or opened afterwards, and the beginning of a path can be recognized immediately due to a new special selection handle. Furthermore, new anchor or control handles can be inserted in any position of a line or curve segment.
Tabbed Document window (9.5)
Documents are shown as tabbed windows. If you move the mouse over the tab, a tool tip with the complete document path will be shown. You can open the document path directly with the help of the context menu.
10: New Options for editing paths (10.0)
The editing of paths has been completely redeveloped and greatly expanded. For this purpose a new tool and a new palette have been created with which you can convert, delete or add new sizing and control points. Multiple sizing points can be simultaneously selected, aligned, distributed, moved interactively or positioned precisely using dimension specifications.
Convert Text to Paths
You can convert text outlines to object paths and edit these paths. At the same time, holes in letters are retained. These new objects can also contain text or images.
Quark XPress Conversion
With the introduction of VivaDesigner 8, we offer the optional service of a conversion from QuarkXPress documents in formats 4.0 to 9.0. Send us your QuarkXPress documents to check the quality of the conversion. Depending on the program edition a certain amount of documents are converted free of charge, for additional documents we raise a minimal administration fee.
Faster than ever
VivaDesigner has been made considerably faster in many functional areas. The opening of documents has been accelerated threefold, and text entry by ten to a hundredfold.
Clipping (Visualize)
You have often asked yourself why an image is not transparent or why an incorrect crop is displayed? To find the answer you must normally open the image in an image editing program. VivaDesigner visualises optionally the clipping path and the Alpha channel.
