Comfortable Output

VivaPosterize offers all the functions that are necessary for a perfect output of the documents. You have the free choice of outputting to a laser printer, Proofing unit (plotter), film phototypesetter, CTP system or CTS (screen) system.

Scaling and Tiling
Within the capabilities of your printer driver, you can scale the spread as you wish and with the help of VivaPosterize divide it, if your output unit is smaller than the spread.

Composite or Color Separated
VivaPosterize allows the output of data as a composite print or color-separated.
Spot colors are recognized by VivaPosterize and output with their required rastering. Spot colors can also if required be converted into process colors. Spot colors can also be separated into other colors. If there has been an error in the creation of the data, so that the same color with another name appears twice in the document, this can be output together with the required color.

Black Overprint
VivaPosterize can if required offer the function of black overprint. This also goes for data that normally do not support this function (e.g. MS Word, etc.)

InRIP Technology
VivaPosterize is the first program to thoroughly support InRIP Technology. With the help of this technology the speed of output of colored spreads has been increased dramatically. At the same time with the help of the InRIP Technology RGB colors, which often appear in a variety of data (e.g. MS Word, etc.) can be color-separated for a high quality output.

OPI Support
VivaPosterize naturally supports all OPI systems for picture output.

Marks and Spread Inscription
Insofar as the user does not change the standard settings, specific color marks and the spread inscription are printed with every job. The output of the spread inscription relates also to the punch holes, so that there is no possibility of important information being cut out.

High State of Automation

VivaPosterize was designed for productions of high capacity and quality. To reduce significantly the number of sources for entry error simple and logical workflow containing a high degree of automation was developed. This is made possible by dividing the program into user and administrator mode.

Extremely High Speed
Through co-operation with large printing companies, VivaPosterize was conceived from the very beginning for large amounts of data and a very high speed of operation.

Therefore the whole process takes place in just a few minutes. This is among other reasons possible, because with the simple user interface all the relevant information can be entered within this time scale.

Automation & Error Reduction
Both the program and the administrator define how the program should behave under certain conditions.

Simple handling

An excellent user interface and the integration of the printing machine emphasize the advantages of VivaPosterize.

Integration of the printing machine
A good user interface is an important criterion, but with VivaPosterize we go one step further with the output: the integration of the printing machines in the company. In the end you always make an output for a printing machine; only based on the data of a printing machine, can it be decided whether a press sheet or tile can be printed on a specific machine or not. It is strange that this matter of course is provided by no other program for large format output.

Working with control files
The individual definitions of tiling templates, types and machines are achieved with a text file, which may be changed and extended by the user. A large number of standard templates and machines is supplied with the program. This dramatically simplifies the program’s handling, without limiting its flexibility in any way.

Unlimited definition and positioning of marks
With VivaPosterize the user can define any marks and use his own EPS marks in machine and tiling template files.

Excellent Tiling and Montage

In the template the user can predefine a large number of parameters. As well as the tiling template, the height and width of every single section of the poster, overlapping on several sides, job-specific section numbering and many other options may be defined. Even a job-specific spread group, in which it may be possible that poster sections are not mounted in their normal order, is definable.

Within the framework of the spread group definition the same mark may be positioned differently on different sections or press sheets. To save paper, the remaining section or sections of a poster may be mounted fully automatically in multiple copies on a press sheet.

Flexible Data Import

VIVAPOSTERIZE can import all the relevant image formats, such as EPS, LAY, TIFF, CT, LW or also all PDF files (PDF Format 1.6).

Data already imported can be updated automatically when the original data is altered. In this way last minute changes of content are possible at any time.

VivaPosterize: Millions of posters. One program.

What is VivaPosterize?

VIVAPOSTERIZE is the leading tool for extremely fast automatic digital tiling and output of posters and billboards. Already on the market since 1999, the program has since then been setting new standards in speed, safety, flexibility and functionality.

Developed in co-operation with leading printers in offset and screen printing, VIVAPOSTERIZE is able to process documents with a speed and precision which has never before been achieved. It’s no wonder then that millions of posters and billboards are produced with VIVAPOSTERIZE every year. Our customers produce posters for local and international advertising campaigns of well known manufacturers as well in the food and drink, automobile, fashion, cosmetics, furniture, electronics and media industries as well as many other fields. Therefore you will surely at least once have seen a poster or billboard which has been produced by our software!

How does VivaPosterize work?

VIVA has from the very beginning followed a completely new and revolutionary path in electronic imposition. The starting point for the development was that our customers wanted to be able to manage the complex technology as simply as possible. Just three simple steps are necessary in the Workstation version of VIVAPOSTERIZE to process a job completely in just a few minutes: data import, poster tiling and output. Only one step is necessary in the Server version to complete a job in seconds: to transfer data to the server, which will complete the tiling and output fully automatically.

Help for Import & Export of Adobe InDesign Files

With the Import and Export module for Adobe® IDML, you can open your Adobe® InDesign® documents in VivaDesigner and also if required save them in the Adobe® IDML format.

At present VivaDesigner doesn’t open native InDesign documents in the INDD format, but only in the IDML format. Therefore it is (still) necessary to save the documents in InDesign in the IDML format.

VivaDesigner has at least 95% of all functions that InDesign also possesses, plus some functions that InDesign doesn’t have (font embedding, access rights, etc.). Therefore the import of IDML documents into VivaDesigner is in most cases works almost perfectly, that is, almost all the elements contained in the InDesign document are taken over. In some cases, the quality of the Import filter could still be improved, and therefore we are constantly working hard to improve the filter.

Free InDesign Conversion

We would be grateful for your support, especially if you are not satisfied with the quality of the import. In this case we offer you a free of charge conversion and analysis of your data.

Please send us the documents listed below as a ZIP package. Please give the ZIP file a meaningful name, such as your name and the date.
Example:
Name-2017-03-31.zip. We need:

– The IDML
– The original *.indd document
– All fonts used (ideally OpenType *.otf or TrueType*.ttf)
– All images used
– An original PDF of the document for checking purposes.
– And most important: Please include a text file with your contact data including mail address and name.

Font Embedding

A huge problem in the exchange of documents is the distribution and handling of fonts:

  • Many users do not want to share their fonts.
  • In many cases, fonts cannot be installed without Administrator rights.
  • Additionally installed fonts frequently clash with fonts that are already installed.

With VivaDesigner, all these problems may be solved with a mouse click by automatically embedding all the fonts used in the document.
