14: New text variables

The text variables for the date formats have been extended. Insert a creation or modification date in your text so always to be up to date. Choose one of the predefined date formats or create an individual date format using 31 predefined abbreviations for the year, quarter, month, week, day or time. Of particular interest is the free choice offset, with which you can output a date in the past or the future. If for example you are creating packaging, you can use this option to define a minimum shelf life or “use by” date

09: Scripts in menus (9.5)

With the new script function you can reach for comfort and security in VivaDesigner. For the first time scripts can be started via the script palette, bit also via the program menu. More that 20 predefined areas give you the freedom to place your scripts in the progam menu whereever you want them.

15: Extended gesture support

The new VivaDesigner on Mac OS X supports gestures for zooming in and out of the document, the crop of an image in a picture object, the rotation of selected objects and the rotation of the image crop in the picture object.

10: Protect Scripts (9.5)

Normally the script source code is normal (plain) text and could be reviewed and therefore changed by everybody. With the new deploy options you can protect your script code. Add your name as author and/or define a date for the termination of the script. This gives you the option to deliver demo versions of your scripts to your customers.

Change Tracking

With change tracking you can establish who has made which changes in a document. The program creates a report with the exact time and which text was inserted, deleted or newly formatted by whom. Change tracking is therefore suited for users who work in a team, or for users who only want to create a report protocol of their work.

New Code options

Create over 30 different bar codes in VivaDesigner without any additional software. The list includes such popular codes as QR Code, Micro QR Code, Data Matrix, EAN, UPC, ISBN, Pharmacode, Code One, Codebar, Databar and many codes from post office companies such as Deutsche Post, Australia Post, Royal Mail, Dutch Post and much more.

New Grayscale View

If you create layouts in color that will later be printed on monochrome, it is often hard to imagine the effect of the layout. With the new option “Grayscale View” you can simulate this effect directly on your screen.
